SUBJECT: Purchase of Fire Department Uniforms
BACKGROUND AND FINDINGS:
The Fire Department continues to maintain a standard appearance for all personnel. A standard uniform includes but is not limited to: Class C - T-shirts, pants, boots, and required accessories; Class B - button down shirts and required accessories; and Class A - dress uniforms. Through this purchase, the Fire Department will continue to have a consistent, uniform presentation from member to member. Fire Department uniform items and required accessories will be purchased through the Impact Promotional Services, LLC dba Got You Covered Work Wear & Uniforms Buyboard Contract #670-22.

CONFORMITY TO CITY POLICY:
This purchase of goods will be made through the Buyboard purchasing cooperative on contract #670-22. Purchases made through a cooperative contract are exempt from the competitive bidding process as stated in the Texas Local Government Code section 271.102, subchapter F; a local government that purchases goods or services under this subchapter satisfies any state law requiring the local government to seek competitive bids for the purchase of the goods or services.
