BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The City of Killeen holds several public hearings throughout the budget process. The public is encouraged to be present and participate in the public hearings. Local Government Code requires one public hearing be held prior to the adoption of the final budget.
DISCUSSION/CONCLUSION
August 25, 2015 is the second of three public hearings. The first public hearing was conducted on August 11, 2015. A third public hearing on the changes to the budget will be conducted on September 1, 2015 prior to budget adoption which is scheduled for September 8, 2015.
