SUBJECT: Reject bids received for Bid 24-38, Stonetree Golf Club Bunker renovations.

BACKGROUND AND FINDINGS:

On May 6, 2024, two (2) bids were received for Stonetree Golf Club Bunker renovations.

This project was to include survey and staking, clearing, grading, and removal of the old bunker, sand, the construction of the bunkers and grassing.

$815,389.75

We have $173,340 budgeted in our CIP/Projects/Construction account, unfortunately this is not sufficient to cover the cost of the lowest bid.

THE ALTERNATIVES CONSIDERED:

N/A

Which alternative is recommended? Why?

Due to the circumstances, the recommendation is to reject all bids and explore options to complete the work in-house.

CONFORMITY TO CITY POLICY:

This resolution conforms to city policies and Texas Local Government Code, Section 252.043.

What is the amount of the revenue/expenditure in the current fiscal year? For future years?

Is this revenue/expenditure budgeted?

Yes, $173,340.00 is available in the Governmental CIP Fund account 349-8930-493.69-03. However, this is not sufficient funding to cover the cost of the lowest proposed bid.

If not, where will the money come from?

A budget transfer from other projects would need to occur for the additional funding. This would result in the delay or cancellation of the projects the funding would be taken from.
