Body

DATE:                     June 16, 2026

TO:                     Kent Cagle, Interim City Manager

FROM:                     Wallis Meshier, Exec. Dir. Of Dev. Serv.

SUBJECT:                     Appoint two new members to BOA

BACKGROUND AND FINDINGS:

On April 21, 2026, the City Council appointed six (6) citizens to the Board of Adjustment, including four (4) regular members and two alternates. One position remained vacant, as there were not enough applicants with construction experience to fill the remaining vacancy.

Killeen Code of Ordinances Sec. 31-67 stipulates that four (4) members shall have training or experience in the construction or building industry.

On April 24, 2026, Ms. Jennifer Knotts - who was appointed on April 21st as an alternate - submitted her resignation.
