SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
CITY MANAGER FINALIST INTERVIEWS
Presiding: Mayor Joseph Solomon
Attending: Mayor ProTem Jessica Gonzalez (arrived at 8:05 AM), Councilmembers Beverly Ann Williams, Mellisa Brown, Debbie Nash-King, Charles Kimble, Anthony Kendrick and David Bass
Also attending were City Attorney Holli Clements, HR Director Kate McDaniel, and Deputy City Secretary Megan Magallon.
Mayor Solomon called the meeting to order at 8:00 AM.
Councilmember Bass gave the invocation. Councilmember Brown led the Pledge Of Allegiance.
Approval of Agenda
Motion by Councilmember Brown, seconded by Councilmember Kimble, to approve the agenda. Motion carries by a unanimous vote of 6-0.
CITIZEN COMMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS
There were no citizens signed up to speak during Citizens Comments.
Executive Session
Mayor Solomon read the legal exemptions into the record for the Executive Session
1. DS-26-084 Conduct City Manager Finalist Interviews and discuss the appointment of a City Manager.
Pursuant to Texas Local Government Code Section 551.074 - Personnel Matters: The City Council will Conduct City Manager Finalist Interviews
The Open Session of the meeting was recessed and the Executive Session was convened at 8:03 AM.
The Executive Session was adjourned and the Open Session was reconvened at 1:54 PM.
No action was taken in Executive Session.
There was no formal action taken at this Special Meeting.
Adjournment
Motion by Councilmember Kendrick, seconded by Councilmember Brown to adjourn the meeting at 1:55 PM, and the motion was carried unanimously by a 7-0 vote of City Council.
