Attending: Mayor Pro Tem Jim Kilpatrick, Councilmembers, Butch Menking, Juan Rivera, Gregory Johnson, Debbie Nash-King and Steve Harris
Also attending were City Manager Ron Olson, City Attorney Kathryn Davis, City Secretary Lucy Aldrich, and Sergeant-at-Arms Gilman.
Absent: Councilmembers Shirley Fleming (Excused)
Mr. Jones gave the invocation, and Councilmember Nash-King led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Approval of Agenda
Motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Kilpatrick to approve the agenda as written. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Rivera. The motion carried unanimously.
Minutes
Motion was made by Councilmember Nash-King to approve the minutes of the January 29, 2019 Regular City Council Meeting. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Menking. Motion carried unanimously.
Resolutions
RS-19-015 Consider a memorandum/resolution of support for housing tax credit applications to Texas Department of Housing & Community Affairs for Avanti Legacy West Elms, Edgewood Villas, Killeen Springs, Reserve at Bunny Trail, and Villas at Robinett, all affordable housing developments.
Staff Comments: Leslie Hinkle, Executive Director of Community Development.
Ms. Hinkle provided an overview of the agenda item reviewing the history and background of the Housing Tax Credit Program. Five applicants have submitted requests to be considered to participate in the Region 8 program. Following publication of the agenda packet, one of the five applicants withdrew their application. Applications for consideration include: Villas at Robinett (southeast corner of Robinett and W. Elms Road), Edgewood Villas (northeast corner of N. 60th and Bills Road), Killeen Springs (Pennington and Foster), and Reserve at Bunny Trail (Bunny Trail). Only one (1) proje...
