City Council Workshop Meeting Minutes June 23, 2026

Tuesday, June 23 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

 

 

Call to Order / Roll Call

Call to order at 5:30 PM by Mayor Solomon.

 

Presiding: Mayor Joseph Solomon

Attending: Councilmembers Charles F. Kimble, David Bass, Anthony Kendrick,

Mellisa Brown, Beverly Ann Williams.

Also attending were Assistant City Manager Laurie Wilson, City Engineer

Andrew Zagars, and Communications Director Torrie Bethany.

 

Mayor Solomon opened the meeting and greeted all attendees. Residents who

wanted to speak were then asked to speak for citizen comments on the project.

 

Citizen Comments on Agenda Items

Residents who spoke on the project included:

                     James Sills asking for the developer and staff to keep in mind long-term goals

                     Anca Neagu inquired about the drainage design, the timeline, start and finish of project.

 

Discussion Items

1. DS-26-052 Featherline Road Reconstruction Project Open House

City Engineer Andrew Zagars welcomed residents and introduced representatives from Kimley-Horn to provide an overview of the project plans and more about the project. Representative, Sam Lundquist from Kimley-Horn, presented a presentation to residents about the project, introduced his coworkers and encouraged residents to participate in the schematic roll plots that were set up on four tables at the facility.

 

 

Adjournment

With no further business, upon a motion being made by Councilmember Kendrick,

seconded by Councilmember Williams, and unanimously approved, the meeting

adjourned at 7:03 PM.
