BACKGROUND AND FINDINGS:
On April 7, 2026, City Manager, Kent Cagle, announced his retirement effective May 29, 2026. City Council gave staff direction to prepare a list of executive search firms for consideration in the search for a City Manager and provide that list for discussion on May 5, 2026.
On May 5, 2026, City Council gave staff direction to schedule interviews with the following executive search firms: Affion Public, Clear Careers, Government Professional Solutions (GPS), and Strategic Government Resources (SGR).
Interviews will be conducted on May 19, 2026. A firm selection will be made following interviews.
