SUBJECT: Appointing Councilmembers to Youth Advisory Commission Subcommittee
BACKGROUND AND FINDINGS:
Pursuant to Section 3-10 (f) of the Governing Standards and Expectations, City Council generally makes appointments to committees and subcommittees as soon as practicable after the annual City Council election. The Council also makes appointments as vacancies occur.
Current subcommittees are listed in Section 3-20 (e) of the Governing Standards and Expectations. On February 14, 2023, City Council approved a motion of direction to establish a Council subcommittee for the Youth Advisory Commission consisting of three (3) Councilmembers.

Making these appointments conforms to relevant city ordinances and policies. Other subcommittees referenced in the Governing Standards have two-member Council subcommittees, rather than three-member subcommittees.
