BACKGROUND AND FINDINGS:

The 2019 Water and Wastewater Master Plan includes project 16W - construction of a ground storage tank and an update to the Airport Pump Station located at 5119 West Stan Schlueter Loop. This 2030 project was moved up to meet a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality requirement for in-line booster pumps taking suction from water storage tanks instead of distribution mains. The Airport Pump Station serves the southwestern part of the city.

On May 2, 2024, three (3) bids were received in response to Bid No. 24-35, Airport Pump Station Update Project. The following bids were opened and read aloud:



Purchasing, Engineering, and KSA Engineers, the design engineering firm, reviewed the bids and relevant bidder experience based on the selection criteria set forth in the contract documents and response of references. SSP Industries, LP is recommended as the awarded bidder for Bid No. 24-35, Airport Pump Station Update Project in the amount of $1,215,097 as they are the responsive low bidder providing the best value to the City for this project.
