SUBJECT:                     Canvassing returns from May 4, 2019 General Election                     

 

BACKGROUND AND FINDINGS:

 

On May 4, 2019, the City of Killeen conducted a general election to elect a District Councilmember for District 2, District 3, and District 4.  The District 1 race was canceled on March 12, 2019 due to having an unopposed candidate.  State and local law requires the City Council to canvass the election returns and declare the results.

 

THE ALTERNATIVES CONSIDERED:

There are no alternatives.  State and local law requires the City Council to canvass the election returns and declare the results.
