BACKGROUND AND FINDINGS:
On August 9, 2022, City Council approved rezoning approximately 390.72 acres to a Planned Unit Development (PUD) known as Preserve at Thousand Oaks Phase 2. On April 21, 2026, City Council accepted 14.42 acres of parkland dedicated to the City.
The naming application submitted for this park proposes the name Yowell Family Park.
The application was reviewed by the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board which passed a recommendation to name the park Yowell Family Park.
