SUBJECT: Ordinance amending Chapter 26 of the Code of Ordinances regarding the platting authority in the extraterritorial jurisdiction.
BACKGROUND AND FINDINGS:
To ensure consistency between the City’s subdivision regulations and the amended Interlocal Agreement regarding platting authority, amendments to Killeen Code of Ordinances, Chapter 26 are necessary. If approved, the proposed ordinance will strike those sections of Chapter 26 that impose the City’s platting and development requirements on subdivisions in the extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ).

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the amendment of Chapter 26 of City of Killeen Code of Ordinances as presented. The amendments are necessary to reflect changes in the City’s platting authority within the EJT, which has transitioned to Bell County Authority.
