BACKGROUND INFORMATION

On June 26, 2015, the Planning and Economic Development Division received a voluntary petition for annexation from RSBP Inc. for 161.022 acres located southwest of the intersection of Clear Creek Road (S.H. 201) and Old Copperas Cove Road. In accordance with Texas Local Government Code Section 43.065, the City Council directed the City Manager to prepare a service plan that provides for the extension of full municipal services to the subject area at their regular meeting of August 11, 2015. The purpose of the public hearing was to ensure that a draft annexation service plan was available for review by citizens and the owners of the affected area during public hearings held on August 25th and September 1st.

DISCUSSION/CONCLUSION

The subject 161.022 acres area is located adjacent to current municipal city limits and is exempt from the requirements of being included in a standard three-year annexation plan.  There were no issues raised during the previous public hearings on this matter.

FISCAL IMPACT
