BACKGROUND AND FINDINGS:
The FY 2022 Capital Improvement Plan includes the KCCC - HVAC System project as a funded project for design and construction with $1.2 million in ARPA funding.
The project includes the replacement of the HVAC System at the Killeen Civic and Convention Center.
Parkhill provided professional services for design and bid support. Staff then solicited bids for construction of the facility. All received bids were opened on March 26, 2024, and were read aloud through zoom online video conferencing and are noted below.

There were three contractors that submitted bids for the project. The qualified bidder based on the bid scoring selection was The Brandt Companies. The bid received included costs for the base construction that included the replacement of the HVAC System at the KCCC; Alternate 2, which includes the replacement of the outside Air returns and modifications to the ductwork; and Alternate 3, which includes the replacement of the electrical duct heaters.
