Presiding:                     Mayor Debbie Nash-King

 

Attending:                     Mayor Protem Jessica Gonzalez (arrived at 12:06 p.m.), Councilmembers Nina Cobb, Jose Segarra, Ramon Alvarez, Riakos Adams and Michael Boyd (arrived via Zoom at 12:22 p.m., arrived in person at 12:31 p.m.)

 

Absent:                     Joseph Solomon

 

Also attending were City Manager Kent Cagle, Assistant City Manager Laurie Wilson, City Attorney Holli Clements and City Secretary Laura Calcote

 

Approval of Agenda

 

Motion was made by Councilmember Adams to approve the agenda, as presented.  Motion was seconded by Councilmember Alvarez.  The motion carried unanimously (4-0).

Discussion Item

 

DS-24-051                     Discuss and consider proposed 2025 bond projects, including the City Hall project.

 

Staff Comments: Kent Cagle, City Manager

Mr. Cagle and Brinkley Sargent Wiginton Architect, Denny Boles, presented this item to City Council for discussion and consideration. 

 

Motion of direction was made by Councilmember Boyd to place the City Hall project on the May 2025 ballot for a bond election, as a top priority.  Motion was seconded by Councilmember Adams.  The motion carried 5-1, with Councilmember Segarra in opposition.

 

Adjournment

 

With no further business, upon motion being made by Councilmember Adams, seconded by Councilmember Boyd, and unanimously approved, the meeting was adjourned at 1:29 p.m.
