SUBJECT: Real Time Crime Center Project

BACKGROUND AND FINDINGS:

The Killeen Police Department is making progress on establishing our Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) at Police Headquarters. The final step needed for the RTCC to become fully operational is completing the infrastructure. We issued a Request for Proposals for a turnkey solution for the RTCC, six vendors submitted proposals, all of which were thoroughly reviewed. During this process, we had to modify the project's scope. Ultimately, One Diversified, LLC was selected as the vendor capable of realizing our vision. The decision was based on the total value and the vendor's experience, including an evaluation of their previous projects.
The cost of services from Diversified is $621,413 based off of the Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS), Contract number 230901. The project includes a video wall and all associated hardware, hardware to connect the Conference Room to the RTCC, workstations, furniture, and a five-year warranty and service agreement.

THE ALTERNATIVES CONSIDERED:

Utilizing existing IT infrastructure to implement the RTCC.

Utilizing the turnkey RTCC solution from One Diversified, LLC

Which alternative is recommended? Why?

Purchasing the turnkey RTCC solution from One Diversified, LLC. as presented.

This solution will allow full implementation of the RTCC and provide the best value to the city.
