BACKGROUND AND FINDINGS:

The Killeen Fire and Police Departments have identified a common link regarding mental and physical health of our personnel. Physical health problems significantly increase our risk of developing mental health problems, and vice versa. Nearly one in three people with a long-term physical health condition also has a mental health problem, most often depression or anxiety. To offer reasonable access to fitness equipment, the Fire and Police Departments request to purchase equipment from Marathon Fitness using funds provided by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and not to exceed $97,735. This purchase will be through Team Marathon Fitness Buy Board Contract #665-22.
